He repudiates Kaikeyi, telling her to dwell in the palace as a widow as he does not want to see her again, and is helped to bed by Kausalya and Sumitra, while the lesser queens m Dasaratha lies on his bed in his chamber, the two queens seated beside him, all three in the attitude of conversing, while they try to console one another.
