The Prussian kings and their entourage once roamed the grass of Berlin's Tiergarten on their hunts. This bridge, which sits enthroned in the heart of the Tiergarten, did not survive the Second World War unscathed, as all the bridges were in ruins. The trees were used by the population for heating, but fortunately times have changed.
Painting this harmonious pattern of leaves was like navigating a labyrinth. The art of extracting an image from a photograph is a practice I rarely use, but I appreciate the traditional craft.
Central Park in Berlin was established in 1527, but it took me 492 years to immortalize it on canvas. Of course, I wasn't busy for 492 years, artists are busy with other work as well. The Corona period has brought its own challenges.
It's understandable that people can lose their bearings in the large central garden next to the Brandenburg Gate when they venture deeper into the park. I can empathize with this feeling.
The original painting entitled 'Berlin Tiergarten 1' is an oil painting on canvas from 2019.
The size of the original is 50 x 50 cm.
Thanks to professional digitization, a meter-sized print can also be produced without any loss of quality.
The original was created in the artist's studio in Berlin-Mitte.
The oil painting is recommended here as a high-quality art print for your special and individual interior design.
