| The painting frame Ella shows once again that black and gold are always a successful combination. It belongs to the Academie frame series, which is popular with art lovers primarily because of its narrow models. What can you say with the dimensions of 31x26 mm, they are frames that simply do what is required of them as a frame: to give the chosen art print an adequate contour. And that is exactly what Ella, the framed artist, can do. The fact that Ella also has the classic black-gold connection makes the frame not only practical in size, but also unusual in its color combination. The line arrangement plays a role in Ella's coloring in that the upper double bar, which represents the frame border, together with the flat main bar, results in the black part of Ella. It is a solid, matt black that almost goes brown, since the underlying patina in red does not seem to get down here. It stands out above all on the edges. The red appears again on the third bar of Ella. The skilfully carved triple bar has been painted gold, from a strong yellow gold, which is an icing on the cake in high gloss. |
