Painting Frames "Mayleen" |
French Ebony mit Ornament • Width: 40mm • Height: 23mm |
Mayleen is another beautiful dark frame from the Marais II frame series, which has been given the colour French Ebony, a beautiful ebony wood. The designers have applied the dark colour to a total width of 40 mm and 23 mm at the highest point. The black colour has been given a touch of lightness by stylistic means in the form of wood grain in white. They run like small grooves in a random arrangement over the main part of the frame: over the plane with which Mayleen projects into the room at the outer edge, over the narrow upper end strip that follows and over the wide main border in the centre. The only other design element here is the bright orange-coloured, very thin line in which the narrow upper strip is embedded. The orange colour provides a wonderfully fresh contrast to the ebony and thus successfully sets them apart visually. The shape of the main moulding is different in that it is slightly concave. Another small highlight appears at the lower end. Here, a very narrow moulding has been decorated with ornaments, which skilfully rounds off the frame towards the inside as the icing on the cake. A light coat of white was added here as a primer in combination with the ebony. The three-dimensional shape of the ornaments is then emphasised. Like tiny reliefs, they form a small chain around the frame, consisting of delicate, flower-like elements in a floral style. |
