Painting Frames "Selma" |
Dürer Silber • Serie: Monda • Width: 25mm • Height: 22mm |
Selma is another narrow, simple frame from the Monda series. With this model, too, the designers preferred a real wooden strip with very narrow dimensions. It measures just 25 mm in total width and no more than 22 mm in height with which Selma protrudes into the room. The narrow bar consists of three parts. On the outside, the first border begins in a convex style, i.e. rounded on the outside, just as the inner bar is made in the same shape. Only the middle border was designed concave, i.e. curved inwards. When viewed from above, this ensemble of three forms a classically designed frame. The makers of the color scheme were no less classic. Here silver and gold were mixed, which gave the frame the name Dürer silver and can therefore tend to frame works by the Renaissance artist Albrecht Dürer as the best example. "Stag beetles", "bullfinches" or "monkeys" are Dürer pictures that harmonize perfectly with Selma. Those who love the Renaissance can also create a great combination with this frame with other classics. “Wooded landscape with village and church” by Titian is particularly suitable in color for Selma. But the hands of the well-known excerpt from the creation of Adam by Michelangelo also hit the nerve of the frame. |
