Woman behind a fan, which I call "Carmencita". She had no name at first and I just saw in her a Spanish woman or flamenco dancer relaxing behind a fan. Then the woman who bought the original painting is named Carmen and then I thought that "Carmencita", the pet name form of Carmen, might be the perfect name for this painting after all.
The patterns are inspired by many contemporary mandalas. Yet, at the same time, the patterns in this painting remind me of azulejos, the brightly painted tiles often found as decorative elements on buildings in Portugal and southern Spain. To me, the painting radiates an atmosphere of harmony and inner peace. And the softly curved lips, which are the center of the image, at the same time give the image something very sensual.
Recommendations: The original image was created on DIN A3 and to ensure a smooth, pixel-free representation of the lines, I would recommend a maximum format of DIN A1 (60 x 84 cm) (the scope is open downwards). I find the picture especially beautiful in a plain silver frame with black partout (this is how the original was sold).
